Keith D. Wallace received his A.A. from Alpena Community College in 1962 and then went on to attain his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1964. He studied law and graduated with his J.D. in 1967 from the University of Detroit Mercy Law School. Keith was admitted to the state bar of Michigan in 1968. His past experience includes acting as city attorney for the city of Alpena for 37 years, and he has served as an associate at IWP since 1968.

Professionally, Keith has been affiliated with the State Bar of Michigan for over 48 years. He is a member of many sections of the state bar, including Probate & Estate Planning, Senior Justice & Elder Law, and Real Property. He is a member and former president of the 26th Circuit Bar Association (Alpena County and Montmorency County). He is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and an associate member of the Michigan Association of Municipal Attorneys. Keith has also been appointed the public administrator for the state of Michigan (Alpena County) by the state attorney general.
He is an active member of many community organizations
including the board of directors of First Federal of Northern Michigan, the Alpena Community College Gift Planning Alliance Committee, Fraternal Order of Police, the board of Holy Cross Cemetery, the U of M Alumni Association, and St. Bernard’s Church. In the past, he has served as a member of the financial council of St. Bernard’s Church, Alpena Jaycees, the Hospice of Northeast Michigan Community Advisory Board, and the State Advisory Council to the Michigan Commission on Services to the Aging.
Keith has been an associate at IWP since 1968.
